Aria- a beautiful person on the outside and on the inside, who values her siblings the most in the world. Growing up in the home of the cruel father who was the consigliere of Chicago, she always yearned for the love she only got from her sisters and brother. Aria dreamed of being promised to a man who would not only look at her as a toy, but who would respect and treat her as she deserved.
Luca- future Capo of Famiglia, who is determined to be better than his father was. Never knowing what love is, he is unable to provide it to women who meet only his needs. His only purpose is to become the best leader of his brand and show that he is trustworthy by his people. He knows that he must beget a heir, and therefore marriage is a duty necessary for him.
Both Aria and Luca are not happy with their marriage arrangement. Aria was afraid of Luca, not only because of his size but also because of what a man he was. Luca, on the other hand, could not accept the fact that his wife did not trust him enough to feel safe in his company.
The heroes' marriage, which was an arranged enterprise, matures over time. Aria and Luca learn from each other until their first feelings finally emerge.
Aria didn't think she could love the monster, but when it did, she knew that Luca was the only one who keeps her heart in his cruel hands.
“I’ll go where you go no matter how dark the path.”
Luca never had a weakness until his love for Aria engulfed him and she became the center of his universe
“But you are my first choice, Aria. I’ll burn down the world if I have to. I’ll kill and maim and blackmail. I’ll do anything for you. Maybe love is a risk, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take and as you said, it’s not a choice. I never thought I would, never thought I could love someone like that, but I fell in love with you. I fought it. It’s the first battle I didn’t mind losing.”.
Bound by honor is a wonderful story that should be read not
only by a fan of mafia romances, but by everyone who appreciates a story about
a real feeling that, over time, turns into emotions without which the world
does not count.
